YT Industries Returns to the US Market After Insolvency: “We Own Our Past Mistakes”

YT Industries has confirmed it is once again selling its highly regarded mountain bikes to customers in the United States, marking a comeback following a turbulent stretch that included insolvency proceedings and a subsequent relaunch.

The German direct-to-consumer brand has restored full US availability across its complete MTB lineup, and is also offering spare parts. A newly assembled customer service crew based in the States will handle after-sales assistance for American riders.

According to YT, the rebuilt US operation has been structured with the customer experience at its core, emphasizing prompt shipping and dependable technical help.

Markus Flossman, the company’s founder and CEO, explained the mindset behind the return: “As we return, our priority isn’t just to sell bikes; it’s to deliver dependable service, responsive support, and to build a stronger connection with our US rider base.”

Recovering from insolvency

The company filed for insolvency in September 2025, a move that resulted in the vast majority of its staff losing their jobs. The collapse came after YT’s leading investor, a private equity group, declined to inject additional capital into the business.

Flossman subsequently repurchased the company and brought the brand back to life in November 2025. At that time, he committed to honoring every order that had been left unfulfilled when the business went under. YT resumed sales in the UK in April of this year and stated it was collaborating with partners to supply technical assistance to British customers.

Reflecting on the US comeback, Flossman said: “Our [US] relaunch has taken longer than anticipated, but we needed to do it right. We own our past mistakes, and with this step, I’m confident we have a solid foundation for a stronger, more reliable future that our community deserves.”

What’s on offer for US riders?

American customers can now browse YT’s entire catalog of bikes. That includes the freshly introduced long-travel Decoy X Launch Edition, which runs on an Avinox motor system. The Decoy X Core variant is expected to arrive in November.

Beyond the Decoy X, the brand’s website also stocks other well-known YT models such as the Jeffsy, Capra, and Izzo.

The relaunch signals a fresh chapter for the brand in the US, pairing its existing bike range with an upgraded support infrastructure intended to rebuild trust with American riders.
