HKC Unveils World’s First 43.8-Inch 24:9 Monitor for Professional Creators
Shenzhen-based display manufacturer HKC has officially launched what it claims is the world’s first 43.8-inch monitor featuring a 24:9 aspect ratio, specifically designed for professional content creation. The new model, named the Tianqi 43H180C, was announced on September 14, 2026, and aims to redefine ultra-wide workspace efficiency for creative professionals.
The display boasts an impressive 5760×2160 resolution, delivering sharp and detailed visuals across its expansive panel. It supports a 180Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth motion handling that benefits not only video editing but also other demanding tasks. The monitor utilizes Mini LED backlighting technology, which enhances brightness and contrast while enabling more precise local dimming. Additionally, it covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, making it well-suited for color-critical work such as video post-production and AI-assisted graphic design.
In terms of connectivity, the Tianqi 43H180C is equipped with a DP 2.1 interface, allowing for high-bandwidth signal transmission to drive the display’s high resolution and refresh rate simultaneously. It also features a USB Type-C port that supports up to 96W of power delivery, enabling users to charge a connected laptop or other devices at full speed while receiving video and data signals through a single cable.
One of the most distinctive aspects of this monitor is its unique wide-format design. The 24:9 aspect ratio allows users to display a standard 4K main workspace on the left while reserving a separate 1920×2160 vertical area on the right for auxiliary tasks, such as tool palettes, chat windows, or reference materials. Alternatively, the screen can be divided into three equal full-height windows for simultaneous multitasking, offering a level of flexibility that traditional 16:9 or 21:9 monitors cannot easily match.
HKC positions the Tianqi 43H180C squarely at professional creation scenarios, including video editing, AI image generation, and other workflows that demand abundant screen real estate and accurate color reproduction. The company has not yet announced pricing or a specific release date for the product, leaving potential buyers awaiting further details on availability and cost.
