WeRide Reports 73.3% Revenue Growth in First Half of Fiscal Year 2026
On September 14, 2026, autonomous driving technology company WeRide released its financial results for the first half of fiscal year 2026, covering the period from January to June. The company reported total operating revenue of 346 million yuan, representing a year-over-year increase of 73.3%. Gross profit reached 126 million yuan, up 107% compared to the same period last year, with a gross margin of 36.6%. The company recorded a net loss attributable to shareholders of 790 million yuan, narrowing its losses by 9.2% year over year. Operating cash flow stood at negative 716 million yuan.
As of July 31, WeRide’s global fleet of Level 4 autonomous vehicles numbered approximately 3,400 units, of which more than 1,800 were robotaxis. The company continues to advance its dual strategy of overseas expansion and domestic autonomous operations.
The strong revenue growth reflects WeRide’s ongoing efforts to scale its autonomous driving services across multiple markets. With a growing robotaxi fleet and increasing commercial deployment, the company is positioning itself to capture rising demand for autonomous mobility solutions. Despite the continued net loss, the narrowed deficit and improved gross margin suggest progress toward financial sustainability. WeRide’s dual approach—expanding internationally while deepening its presence in the domestic market—remains central to its long-term growth strategy.
