NVIDIA Launches NBA 2K27 DLSS 5 Poster Challenge with Custom RTX 5090 GPUs as Prizes
NVIDIA has officially kicked off its NBA 2K27 DLSS 5 Poster Challenge, inviting gamers and content creators to showcase their most striking in-game captures for a chance to win one of four highly sought-after custom graphics cards.
The contest runs from September 12, 2026, through December 31, 2026. To participate, entrants must capture screenshots or video clips from NBA 2K27 while running on an RTX 50 series GPU or via the GeForce NOW Ultimate cloud streaming service. Once they have their best shots, participants need to post their submissions on social media, tagging @NVIDIAGeForce and including the hashtag #RTXPoster.
NVIDIA plans to announce the winners by the end of January 2027. Four lucky victors will each receive a customized RTX 5090 graphics card featuring an exclusive NBA 2K27-themed design. Each of these special edition GPUs is valued at $2,599 (approximately 17,479 RMB), though their actual market worth is considerably higher given current supply constraints.
The prize comes at a time when the RTX 5090 is already selling well above its suggested retail price in the United States, with street prices exceeding $5,000. The steep premium is largely attributed to the ongoing global shortage of GDDR7 memory, which has driven up production costs and limited availability of high-end graphics cards.
This collaboration between NVIDIA and the NBA 2K franchise highlights the growing synergy between cutting-edge gaming technology and major sports video game titles. By leveraging DLSS 5, the latest iteration of NVIDIA’s deep learning super sampling technology, players can experience smoother frame rates and enhanced visual fidelity while capturing poster-worthy moments on the virtual basketball court.
The challenge not only promotes the capabilities of RTX 50 series hardware and GeForce NOW Ultimate’s cloud gaming performance but also engages the NBA 2K community in a creative competition. With four custom RTX 5090 cards up for grabs—each a collector’s item in its own right—the stakes are undeniably high for dedicated fans and PC enthusiasts alike.
