ENVE Unveils SES 6.7 Pro Wheelset: The Race-Ready Hoops Behind Pogačar’s 2026 Triumphs
ENVE has officially brought the SES 6.7 Pro wheelset to market after it spent the entire 2026 WorldTour season under the sport’s biggest stars. The brand describes the new hoops as its quickest UCI-compliant offering yet, built around a completely reworked rim shape.
The wheels came to life through a tight partnership with UAE Team Emirates, the squad ENVE supplies at wheel level.
According to ENVE, the SES 6.7 Pro has already been part of more than ten WorldTour wins across 2026. Those victories include Milan-San Remo, Strade Bianche and the Vuelta a España, with Tadej Pogačar doing most of the winning.
The rims represent a ground-up redesign made necessary by the UCI’s updated rim-depth rules that took effect in January. Under those regulations, ENVE’s earlier SES 6.7 wheels were no longer race-legal because their rear rim measured 66mm—just 1mm beyond what road racing allows.
David Herrero, who leads biomechanics and aerodynamics at UAE Team Emirates, explained the performance leap: “Our track testing demonstrated a notable advantage compared to the prior version. At the highest level of professional cycling, these are the marginal gains that make a real difference. Working closely with ENVE allows us to turn innovation into measurable performance and give our riders every possible competitive advantage.”
Steel spokes paired with a fresh hub platform
Up front, the SES 6.7 Pro rim measures 59mm deep, while the rear sits at 65mm. Both ends share a 22.5mm internal width, a figure ENVE says is optimized around the 28mm tyres the pros favor. Even so, the brand tested across multiple widths and at speeds typical of both professionals and everyday riders. External width is a uniform 30.5mm front and rear, though the two rims use different profiles.
The claimed weight of 1,495g accounts for rim tape and valves, and the wheelset is built for tubeless setups only. ENVE sticks with 24 Alpina Ultralite steel spokes and internal alloy nipples at both ends—a notable choice given that many competitors have moved to carbon spokes.
For comparison, the previously released SES 4.5 Pro, also ridden by UAE Team Emirates-XRG, carries a claimed weight of 1,295g. It runs slightly wider internally at 23.5mm, with rim depths of 49mm front and 55mm rear.
The SES 6.7 Pro rolls on the new Innerdrive Pro hubs, which ENVE bills as a lighter, lower-drag evolution of its existing Innerdrive design. The brand claims a 60g weight saving over the standard Innerdrive, along with reduced friction thanks to a redesigned 40-tooth ratchet, a lower-tension spring and a lighter hub shell.
Inside those hubs sit ENVE’s new Pro ceramic bearings, which use hardened stainless steel races and low-friction polyamide cages. Rolling resistance drops further via low-contact outboard seals and non-contact inboard seals. ENVE backs the bearings with a five-year warranty.
Pricing for the SES 6.7 Pro lands at $1,700 for the front wheel and $2,050 for the rear, putting the complete wheelset at $3,750.
