Coros Unveils Pace 4 Pro: 60-Hour GPS Battery and the Brand’s Biggest Display Yet
Coros has introduced its latest wearable, the Pace 4 Pro, a smartwatch that promises up to 60 hours of GPS tracking and features the company’s largest display to date, measuring 1.47 inches (37.3mm) across.
According to the brand, the Pace 4 Pro is designed for athletes in search of a lightweight yet durable watch that delivers comprehensive mapping capabilities. It caters to cyclists, triathletes, runners, and participants in numerous other sports.
Compared to the standard Pace 4, the Pro version delivers nearly a 50% improvement in battery life and a 22.5% larger screen, allowing it to present as many as 11 data fields simultaneously.
Coros CEO Lewis Wu commented: “The Coros Pace 4 Pro represents a major leap forward in hardware design for our brand. It merges the biggest and most luminous display we have ever created with an exceptionally thin titanium bezel and a sapphire glass screen.”
The AMOLED panel on the Pace 4 Pro offers a 466×466 pixel resolution and reaches a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. Coros states that it houses a high-speed processor for swift mapping and navigation, along with twice the RAM of the Pace 4 at 64MB and 64GB of storage capacity.
The watch features an 11.8mm-thin, lightweight casing with a titanium bezel. Including its nylon strap, the watch is said to weigh just 43g — only 11g heavier than the non-Pro Pace 4, yet roughly 13g lighter than the Garmin Forerunner 970, which is likely its nearest rival.
Equipped with dual-band GPS, the device also includes sensors for heart rate, ambient temperature, pulse oximetry, altitude, and ECG. These allow wearers to monitor sleep, heart rate variability, stress levels, and resting heart rate patterns. The watch connects to the Coros app, which supports route planning, fitness monitoring, pace strategy, and recovery tracking, alongside offering training programs and menstrual cycle tracking for women.
Beyond performance monitoring and navigation, the Pace 4 Pro lets users capture voice memos and sync them with workout files, using voice pins that tie recordings to specific GPS coordinates. It also provides live tracking, weather updates, safety notifications, and seamless synchronization with Strava, TrainingPeaks, and various other fitness platforms.
The claimed 60 hours of GPS usage drops to 46 hours when always-on mode is activated. With the always-on display enabled, the Pace 4 Pro delivers approximately seven days of use without GPS, extendable to 21 days when the display is set to on/off mode. Coros notes that charging via USB-C takes roughly 1.5 hours, and a quick 30-minute charge yields an additional 10 hours of GPS tracking.
The Coros Pace 4 Pro carries a price tag of £389 / $449 / €449 and comes in black or white color options. This pricing significantly undercuts many Garmin models, as the Forerunner 970 starts at $650 or higher, while the premium Fenix 9 AMOLED is priced at $1,000 and above.
