Yeti MT Trail Bike Debuts with Sixfinity Suspension and 140mm Rear Travel
Yeti Cycles has expanded its lineup with the introduction of the MT, a trail-oriented mountain bike featuring 140mm of rear suspension travel that carries the brand’s Sixfinity suspension design into a more adaptable package.
The MT arrives as a follow-up to the longer-travel LT model that launched earlier in 2025, which was the first non-motorized Yeti to adopt Sixfinity. That system replaced the Switch Infinity platform that had been a staple of the brand since 2014. Along with its 140mm of rear wheel travel, the new trail bike is built around a 160mm fork and 29-inch wheels.
Buyers will have five build options to choose from, all sharing the same Turq Series carbon fiber frame. At the top of the range sits the MT XX, priced at $11,500 / €11,500. Stepping down, the X0 carries a price of £9,099 / $9,800 / €9,900, followed by the XT Di2 at $8,500 / €8,900, the X0/90 at £7,499 / $8,000 / €8,200, and finally the MT 90 at €7,200.
For those who prefer to build their own, the frame alone is offered at £4,399 and comes in Turquoise, Redrum, and Gunmetal finishes.
Sixfinity Explained
According to Yeti, the Sixfinity platform has been in the works for over ten years, with its initial concept dating back to 2016.
The system has already appeared on the brand’s 160e, LTe, and MTe electric mountain bikes, and has been proven at the World Cup downhill level with athletes like Richie Rude.
Where Sixfinity differs from Switch Infinity is in its use of six links to manage both the rear-wheel trajectory and the shock. Yeti claims this configuration enables independent tuning of anti-squat, anti-rise, and leverage rate, giving its engineers more precise control over how a bike behaves.
On the MT, Yeti says the anti-squat has been calibrated to deliver pedaling support near sag, then taper off further into the travel to enhance descending capability.
Anti-rise has been set slightly lower compared to the previous SB140, a decision aimed at finding a better balance between braking stability and rear-wheel traction.
Adjustable Progression
The MT features three leverage-rate settings, allowing riders to switch between 10%, 15%, and 20% progression via a flip chip.
Yeti notes that this adjustment can be made without altering the bike’s geometry, anti-squat, or anti-rise characteristics.
Geometry figures include a 64.5-degree head angle and a 77-degree effective seat angle. Chainstay length grows with frame size, starting at 436mm on a small and reaching 452mm on an XL.
As with the LT, Yeti has employed size-specific kinematics, designing each frame size individually rather than simply scaling the suspension layout across the range.
The MT is offered exclusively in Yeti’s premium Turq Series carbon, which includes Vectran reinforcement. Additional features include in-frame down-tube storage, a included frame bag, a top-tube mount for accessories, and provisions for an AirTag or Tile tracker.
