UBTech’s 10,000-Unit Humanoid Robot Mega-Factory Begins Production in Liuzhou

UBTech Robotics has officially launched operations at its first global mega smart factory dedicated to mass-producing industrial humanoid robots. The facility, located in the Northern Ecological New District of Liuzhou, Guangxi, began production on September 12, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the commercialization of humanoid robotics.

The plant is designed to roll out one Walker S2 robot every ten minutes, achieving an annual production capacity exceeding 10,000 units. This represents the world’s first factory capable of producing industrial humanoid robots at the ten-thousand-unit scale.

At the heart of the operation is a digital “smart brain” that orchestrates all production processes through an industrial simulation system. The factory pioneers a “robots building robots” manufacturing model, in which humanoid robots are themselves deployed on the assembly line. UBTech has also partnered with Siemens to build a dedicated digital manufacturing infrastructure tailored specifically for humanoid robot production.

The Walker S2, the flagship product manufactured at this facility, is a full-size industrial humanoid robot standing 1.76 meters tall. It features sub-millimeter precision manipulation capabilities, autonomous battery swapping, a pure RGB binocular vision system, and a bionic body with 52 degrees of freedom. The robot can handle payloads of up to 15 kilograms and is engineered for continuous 24/7 operation, making it well suited for demanding industrial environments.

The launch of this mega-factory underscores the accelerating race to commercialize humanoid robots for industrial applications. By combining advanced digital twin technology, AI-driven scheduling, and a self-replicating manufacturing approach, UBTech aims to dramatically reduce production costs and scale output to meet growing global demand. The Liuzhou facility positions both UBTech and China at the forefront of the emerging humanoid robot industry, signaling a shift from prototype development to full-scale industrial deployment.
