HUAWEI Pura X View Debuts: A New Era of Wide-Screen Bar Phones
Huawei has officially unveiled its latest addition to the expanding “Wide” family—the HUAWEI Pura X View. Following the success of the HUAWEI Pura X and HUAWEI Pura X Max foldable devices, this new model marks the company’s first-ever wide-screen bar phone, completing a full lineup of wide-display products that cater to diverse user preferences.
The Pura X View redefines the smartphone experience by prioritizing display area. Whether users are reading, gaming, watching videos, or handling office tasks, the device brings a substantial leap forward in both form factor and usability—all within the familiar bar-phone design. Unlike its foldable predecessors, which open up to reveal a larger screen, the Pura X View offers a natively expansive display that delivers an immersive experience straight out of the box.
One of the standout features of this new model is its remarkably slim and lightweight construction. Weighing just 201 grams and measuring a mere 6.68mm in thickness, the Pura X View is designed for comfortable, fatigue-free handling. Beneath its sleek exterior lies a massive 7000mAh silicon-anode battery, ensuring that users can go about their day without worrying about running out of power.
In the photography department, the HUAWEI Pura X View comes equipped with the XMAGE 2-megapixel Red Maple imaging system, which promises vivid and natural color reproduction. The device also includes a 50-megapixel ultra-aperture periscope telephoto lens, allowing users to capture sharp, detailed shots whether they are photographing distant landscapes or close-up subjects. This versatile camera setup ensures outstanding results across a wide range of shooting scenarios.
Under the hood, the Pura X View is powered by the HarmonyOS 7 with the ultra-smooth Ark Engine, paired with the Kirin 9030S chipset. Together, they deliver a 28% improvement in overall performance, ensuring seamless multitasking and high-efficiency operation. Durability is also a key focus: the device features Kunlun Glass protection and boasts an IP68 & IP69 dust and water resistance rating. Additionally, it supports BeiDou satellite communication, enabling users to maintain contact even in areas with no cellular signal coverage.
The HUAWEI Pura X View will be available for purchase starting September 9, with a starting price of 5,999 RMB. Early buyers can take advantage of up to 12-month interest-free installment plans, a trade-in subsidy of up to 600 RMB, and an educational discount of up to 100 RMB. Students can also enjoy an exclusive bonus of up to 944 RMB in additional perks.
Those who purchase the device will also receive a one-month free trial of the Petal One premium service and two complimentary screen care services within the first year of ownership. For added peace of mind, customers can opt for the HUAWEI Care+ accidental damage protection plan, which includes coverage for accidental damage, a free battery replacement service, and a limited-time value-preservation exchange program.
With the introduction of the Pura X View, Huawei has firmly established its wide-screen product strategy, offering consumers a choice between foldable and bar designs—both of which prioritize expansive displays and cutting-edge technology. The device is poised to attract users who value a large screen experience without the need for a foldable mechanism, highlighting Huawei’s commitment to innovation and user-centric design.
