CHUWI Unveils UniBox AI495 Pro and AI395 AI Workstation Mini PCs at IFA Berlin 2026
At the IFA Berlin trade show in September 2026, Chinese tech brand CHUWI introduced two new AI workstation mini PCs, the UniBox AI495 Pro and the UniBox AI395. Designed for AI development and high-performance computing tasks, these compact machines aim to deliver powerful processing in a space-saving form factor.
Both models are powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ series processors, which integrate advanced neural processing units (NPUs) to accelerate AI workloads. The standout design feature is the X-shaped metal frame, which not only adds structural rigidity but also aids in heat dissipation. The chassis measures 209.6 × 209.6 × 67 mm, giving it a volume of approximately 2.9 liters—small enough to sit discreetly on a desk or mount behind a monitor.
Connectivity and expandability are key selling points for the UniBox series. Each unit comes equipped with three PCIe ×4 M.2 2280 SSD slots, allowing users to install substantial high-speed storage for large datasets and models. For networking, the systems offer Wi-Fi 7 support, dual 10GbE Ethernet ports, and an OCuLink port for external GPU or high-speed device connections. Additionally, two USB4 ports (40Gbps) provide fast data transfer and versatile peripheral compatibility.
The launch reflects CHUWI’s strategy to target the growing market for edge AI computing, where users need robust local processing without relying solely on cloud resources. By packing workstation-level features into a compact enclosure, the UniBox AI495 Pro and AI395 aim to appeal to developers, researchers, and small-scale AI deployers who prioritize both performance and physical footprint.
CHUWI did not disclose full pricing or availability details at the event, but confirmed that both models would begin shipping in select regions before the end of 2026. More information is expected to be shared on the company’s official website in the coming weeks.
As AI adoption accelerates across industries, devices like these mini PCs represent a shift toward more accessible, on-premise computing solutions. The combination of AMD’s latest AI-optimized chips, generous storage options, and high-speed I/O in a 2.9-liter package positions CHUWI to compete in a niche but rapidly expanding segment of the hardware market.
